Hiking Close to Home

Last night I called up a friend to check out a spot close to my house that looked promising for turkey. While I didn't find any turkeys, it was a pretty cool hike and we saw a lot of deer and coyote sign.

I get home on the 2nd of July and will be around for about a month until I deploy. Let's hike that one morning for a bit of exercise and to help me take in as much Oregon green before I head to places a bit more brown.

Yeah, Iet's definitely plan to head up there. I haven't been up there since I took those pictures, and I'd like to get some of the deer in full velvet.
