Smile Oregon Salmon / Steelhead reports

Looking to keep catching some Salmon and Steelhead this winter.

I'll post up where we go and how we do. Lets see how everyone else is doing throughout the season.

10/24 we went to Tillamook Bay and fished the top near the Memaloose boat launch.

No fish for us. We saw 3 caught and bonked and one nice one brought in backwards and released. There were about 60 or so boats. I think we had one hit that my brother and I both saw, but weren't sure... It went down and wiggled, but came right back up. We were using large thumper blades on long leaders with as light of lead as possible and fishing in 3-12 feet of water.

This will probably be our last trip trolling for Salmon in the bay, but who knows. Crabbing has continued to hold up pretty well from reports we got, but we weren't able to put the pots down due to being at the top of the bay.

We'll see what next weekend brings.
