Salmon Fishing on the Columbia River

I traveled up to the Columbia River this weekend to film a little springer (spring Chinook salmon) action with fellow Pursue The Outdoors field staff member Troy Neimann and several friends. I hooked up with Jeff and Doug on one boat with camera in hand to film the action, while Troy played host to several others friends on his custom-wrapped Duckworth.

Unfortunately for me I got lost along the way to the boat ramp and camping area the previous night, and ended up sleeping in my car overnight near Multnomah Falls. I received a wake up call from Troy early the next morning, informing me that everyone was ready to go. After crawling out of my sleeping bag in the front seat, I high-tailed it over to the dock with using the directions quickly relayed over the phone.

Here’s a promo video I put together from footage filmed during this trip (and a few others).
