Field Staff Profile: Calvin Halladay

Calvin Halladay is a sophomore at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon, currently majoring in biochemistry and applying to dental school to become an oral surgeon (hoping to stay in Oregon for professional school at OHSU).

Calvin was introduced to the outdoors at a very young age by his father, where he grew up hunting the jungles of Oregon's coastal range. There he quickly learned patience as he hunted the elusive Blacktail Deer and Roosevelt Elk. As a teenager he was introduced to additional types of hunting, as well as the world of competitive calling, specifically predator and elk, which he excelled at.

Calvin avidly hunts for bear, turkey, predators, waterfowl, deer, and elk. Along the way his mentors have been extremely influential, and he has been fortunate enough to have been taught by some of the best around. Calvin continues to count his blessings and thanks God for all of his opportunities during his personal pursuit of the outdoors.
