I am from Sarasota, Florida, and I recently graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters in Accounting. I am a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed real estate agent.
My last year of college is when I really got into fishing and skeet shooting. I grew up with a fear of guns but you can’t live in inland Florida for 4 years and not shoot a gun at least once. Once I was properly taught the safety and got comfortable around guns, I got over my fear and started skeet shooting regularly. I’ve been told that I’m a left hander with a natural talent. Growing up in New York I thought I was meant to be a city girl, but after working in NYC for PWC one summer I grew to learn very quickly that I’m not a city girl anymore.
I didn’t know if I could actually kill something until I got invited to my friends’ quail lodge for Thanksgiving 2007. Watching those dogs work was breathtaking…one moment I saw a quail flying, and the next it was down by my feet because the dog already brought it to me. Bringing the gun up and shooting that bird was such a natural reaction; that was the moment I knew I was a hunter.
I grew up with three older brothers, yet I am the only one in my family that fishes and hunts. No one got me into hunting, I got myself into hunting. I have a true passion for it and was never given the opportunity to hunt until I made my own. I love adventure and enjoy being outdoors. My many hobbies include traveling, skeet shooting, archery, fishing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, golfing, scuba diving, surfing, hiking, bodybuilding competitions, and more.
I’m the type of girl that can be in a tree stand all morning in full camouflage and at a black tie event in the evening. Hunting brings everything that I live for into one activity, and leaves me with an amazing story to tell.
I typically hunt on my own, and have been fortunate to have hunted some amazing places including New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, and across the U.S. Basically, where there is an adventure that is where you will find me!
My goal is to follow my passion, learn as much as possible about hunting and fishing, stress the importance of regulations, become a role model to both men and women, and to encourage women to get more involved in outdoor sports.
You might not know you love something until you try it!
