Arizona Wildlife Views Hits the Airways on PBS Station KAET-TV

PHOENIX, AZ – The Emmy-award-winning Arizona Wildlife Views TV show will run a new episode on Sunday, February 3, 2008. The program will be in the 4:30 p.m. slot on KAET Channel 8, which is the PBS station in Phoenix, and will be one of a 13 episode season.

Arizona Wildlife Views is a show produced by the Arizona Game and Fish Department to help teach Arizonans about the outdoors around them as well as to inform about practices and techniques used to conserve outdoor Arizona for years to come. This show will include the following segments:

Black-footed Ferret ? To celebrate 10 years of the Black-footed ferret reintroduction program we take you along with biologists as they search for and capture this endangered species in the Aubrey Valley.

Avian Flu Check ? Veterinarians from the Arizona Game and Fish Department are keeping a close watch for any signs of avian influenza in migrating birds.

Wildlife Linkages ? What happens when a major road or subdivision is built in the middle of a wildlife migration route? This report shows what the Arizona Game and Fish Department and other agencies are doing to reduce potential human/wildlife conflict
